I pulled out my silhouette machine to try something new. I decided to pull out a few onsies and make something for my friends baby shower gift.
I bought the Silhouette Heat Transfer Material in black. Then came up with a couple words to put on onsies.
Using the Silhouette Studio designer Edition software. Its super easy to use once you learn the icons.
I cut the heat transfer material with my Silhouette Cameo machine and this is what I came up with.
I this ones a super cute thing to do! Great gift item!
So cute I decided to make them available on etsy!

Silk Screen, Well ... Something like that *Shrugs*
I always wanted to make my own shirt or customize something at home. I never want to waste my money on of those kits. I'm willing to try products, but "you see the way my bank account is set up" - Kevin Hart. Hey its hard enough trying to be a responsible adult. So, I decided to go out and buy some fabric paint.
I tried Tulip Brand Soft Fabric paint.
I noticed this paint was a little watery. I didn't too much like it. I think its great for kids but not if you're trying to do something for an event. The edges aren't very clean because the paint was so watery.
I took out another fabric swatch and try some other stuff....

You can find these as Michaels Craft stores or Joann's Fabric. I bought the white.
I even picked up Plaid:Craft Martha Stewart Large Alphabet Stencil
I figured this would be a great start.
All I needed now was one of those little sponges and I'm off!
I bought some random fabric swatches from Joann's Fabrics
- I taped my stencil over the fabric (so it doesn't move)
- Added some paint to my sponge
- dabbed on the paint over the stencil

This is great for kids! Letting them express themselves! The paint was pretty cheap also. I guess you get what you pay for here.
Check out my finished product.
I pulled out some HOT FIX rhinestones and added them in. I think this is a great idea for personalized gifts or monogram napkins.
Tulip Brand was pretty cool. I didn't like the consistency too much. This means I have to try some other brands to see how that goes!
